Nicole is the primary researcher and author on the Oregon Health Authority, Public Health Division's Community Climate Choices Health Impact Assessment (CCC HIA) to investigate how health intersects with regional transportation strategies and investments required to meet greenhouse gas emissions from light-duty vehicles targets in the Portland metropolitan region. The CCC HIA informs Metro's Climate Smart Communities Scenario planning and models expected mortality and disease gains from increased physical activity, reduced traffic collisions, and improved air quality.
