Join us for a two day introductory workshop on git version-control
August 20 & 21, 1-5 PM
Sick of naming files "Report (1) FINAL.docx"? Track Changes mode just not sparking joy anymore? Curious about git and what a version-control workshop can bring to your project?
Join us for a two half-day hybrid introductory workshop. We strongly encourage participants to attend in person on the first day. Each day will be a combination of a lecture and a practical session. You will learn:
- how to use git for version control
- how to use github to manage your projects
You will also get an opportunity to collaborate with others using these tools.
Software requirements:
You will be expected to bring your own laptop and have software installed prior to the workshop. If you are using a work issued laptop, you will most likely need admin privileges to install the following required software:
- Git - Download at https://git-scm.com/install/
